    Saturday             By appointment

    Sunday                              Closed

  • How long does the job take?

This very much depends on the type of glass and vehicle but a replacement would generally take between 1 and 2 hours

Of course!  All our workmanship is guaranteed. We are ATA Accredited in vehicle glazing so any issues will be inspected and dealt with swiftly.

  • How experienced are you in the trade?

I have spent almost 40 years glazing vehicles for trade and private customers all around Herefordshire. I am also the only Herefordshire independant with ATA Accreditation in vehicle glazing and am a registered member of the IMI "Institute of The Motor Industry"

Chip Repairs

  • What can I expect from a repair?

The primary purpose of a repair is to restore the structural integrity of a windscreen and to stop the damage getting any worse. If successful then the damage will be much improved but not totally invisible.

  • How long does a repair take?

A repair generally takes 20 to 30 mins.

  • Can anything be repaired?

The new M.O.T rules came into effect in 2022. Even though it is ultimately the decision of the examiner as to what he thinks is a dangerous obstruction to your view, there are a few guidelines for us.

Zone “A”(drivers side) allows us to repair anything that leaves 10mm or less still visible.

Zone “B”(rest of glass) has a 40mm allowance.

  • How much does a repair cost?

A typical repair within herefordshire is £60.00. If we find a repair is not a viable option we will not charge for our time.

Remove / Refit

  • Why would i need this?

If you have water ingress in your vehicle or find you have excessive wind noise. A remove / refit may well fix the issue.

  • What are the risks?

A worst case scenario would be a new glass is needed. Once the glass is removed we may find other reasons such as rust or faulty components to be the root issue. Only removal of the glass will show us exactly what is going on.

  • How long does this take?

Because of the extra care needed for this process it could take several hours to complete.

  • Does my insurance cover this?

Typically insurance companies will not pay for a new glass if it was broken in an attempt to fix a leak/wind issue. We will always provide you with a quote for best and worst case scenario before any work is undertaken.

Working Conditions

  • Can work be done anywhere?

Most of the time we can simply work on your driveway or place of work with no issues at all. There are however a few things that you could keep in mind for when we arrive.

Ensure that your vehicle is in a safe environment with plenty of room available for our vehicle to be as near to yours as possible.

It is better to delay a glass replacement than to have it fitted in poor conditions. We are very flexible with our time and would much rather get the job done right first time.

  • What if the weather is bad on the day?

A bonded glass cannot be safely fitted in wet weather. A canopy is used in light rain/wind but is not sufficient in bad weather. Having a dry location in mind would be very much preferable for a good job.

It is better to delay a glass replacement than to have it fitted in poor conditions. We are very flexible with our time and would much rather get the job done right first time.

  • Am I responsible for your safety?

No! It is our responsibilty to ensure we are working in a safe environment which is why we adhere to all relevent health and safety regulations and guidelines

  • Do you have public liability insurance?

Of course! We are happy to provide a certificate on request to anyone who needs it.
