What is an ADAS Calibration?

ADAS is an acronym for "Advanced driver assistance systems". There are many different systems on a modern vehicle that constantly calculate what is going on around you and also react to what you are doing as a driver. If your vehicle has a windscreen mounted camera and you have had the glass replaced then it is recommended that you have this recalibrated at your earliest opportunity.

How do i know if i need one?

In the first instance your chosen installer will know whether you have an ADAS camera but typically a forward facing camera would perform such operations as.

Lane departure warning

Traffic sign recognition

Adaptive cruise control

Adaptive headlights

Below are a few visual examples.

Can EziGlass do this for me?

Although a camera calibration is not a service we offer it is still our responsibility to inform and educate our customers about the safety aspects around ADAS after a glass replacement. Most main dealers will be able to calibrate a camera for you and there is also a specialist company that we highly recommend that will come to your location depending on the type of calibration needed.
